Increasing the star power of Activision’s upcoming DJ Hero, the Grammy winning DJ and producer duo Daft Punk are lending their likenesses and some never-before-heard remixes to the game’s 93 on-disc tracks.  The game, set to release on October 27, 2009 with a special turntable peripheral for the MSRP of $119.99 (and $199.99 for the Renegade edition) will be available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and PlayStation 2, with the latter version retailing at $99.99.

“This is the first time in a video game that fans will have this kind of direct interaction with Daft Punk while also experiencing never-before-released mixes that feature some of their most popular tracks.  It’s amazing working with Daft Punk as they are the quintessential electronic music act known around the world for their unique style and music.” said Tim Riley, Vice President of Music Affairs for Guitar Hero.
