2k Games has announced Bioshock 2 will require a mandatory 5GB install to the PlayStation 3’s hard drive, where as the Xbox 360 has an optional HDD install option. 2k has not made a statement if there’s a difference in performance if Xbox 360 users choose not to use the HDD install option. The original Bioshock released for the PS3 back in 2008 required a 4.98GB installation and 2K stated it will run similar in performance to the original. Bioshock 2 is set to release on February 9th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
