Capcom Wrestles with Xbox 360 Disc Restrictions
19 Feb, 2010

Lost Planet 2 producer Jun Takeuchi stated that Capcom had made significant cuts to the game due to the limitations of the Xbox 360’s DVD disc space as opposed to the PS3’s Blu-ray. Instead of dealing with compression and wanting both versions to be equal, Takeuchi states that the extra content that would have been in the final content will be in a form of dlc later after the game’s release: “This time, truly, the content that was cut was significant, and at the end, we had to wrestle with disc space”. The original Lost Planet was an Xbox 360 exclusive and was eventually ported to the PC and PS3. Lost Planet 2 is set to release on May 18th in North America for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC
