Hey everyone! By now you’ve all probably read my White Knight Chronicles impressions. Believe me, no one is more disappointed by that game’s shortcomings than me. I’ve been jazzed for that game for well over a year now. I really wanted it to be my next favorite game. In fact, I was narrowly outvoted for it to be put in our Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2010. Oh well.

I’m looking through my Playstation 3 collection right now and I don’t really have anything great to play with a group for Playstation 3 game night. My copies of Resistance 2 and Uncharted 2 are on loan at the moment. I could easily be convinced in playing a round or two of the original Left 4 Dead on PC as an alternative. Maybe we should postpone game night for a week until I get my copy of Uncharted 2 back? Up to you guys. Is there a downloadable smaller game we can play on PS3?

On to the good news!!! The new forums are officially open for playing. You can sign into them by using your current Elder-Geek.com sign in and password. Simply click here to go to them or you can click on the large image of them above. Nate did an amazing job of skinning them to look like the rest of the site. Everyone thank Nate for what he did. Once again, we’re all in his debt. If you find any kinks with them, put them into the support forums we set up and and we’ll try to resolve any issue ASAP.

The old forums will stay open for a bit, but in a few days we’ll change the link of the “forums” tab on the top of home page from the old forums to the new ones. To make an avatar to use in the new forums, please use Gravatar.

That’s it from me for now. I’m really loving The Saboteur and the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta lately. Both games feel like they were custom made for me.

Oh, and back to shoveling snow. We got buried here in DC. We got 2 feet of snow over the weekend, and they’re calling for another 4 – 10 inches tomorrow. Woo!
