Rumor: Nintendo 3DS to Feature HD Graphics?

With the 3DS gearing up to be one of Nintendo’s big products to push at this year’s E3, dozens of rumors have been circulating around the relatively unknown product. One of the more interesting ones, coming from IGN, hints that not only will the 3DS be more powerful than its previous SKUs, but will contain “processing capabilities that far exceed the Nintendo Wii and… are close to HD consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.” No concrete details have been released in accordance with the data, and Nintendo has released on comment on the matter.

    I would think HD graphics would be wasted on a system like the DS. I couldn’t see the games looking much better, unless of course there are more polygons.
