Bioware Brought in for Spore Sequel
28 Jul, 2010
Electronic Arts has a way with bringing developers together. In its recent Comic Con announcement of upcoming titles, EA is publishing Darkspore, a spin-off project to the popular life-sim Spore. While the character generation feature that captured millions of Youtube posters upon initial release is still intact, Darkspore will also contain an Action-RPG element similar to Diablo. According to one report, the RPG greenhorns at Maxis have brought in some folks out of Bioware to help out on the new genre additions. No specific collaborative efforts were detailed, but cross-studio work is always a welcome endeavor to see major publishers investing in.
