Felt like they ruined the characters by making them all into uber-generic anime characters and all the floating around was just weird. Basically it was just too radically different for me. Although character wise I love Liu Bei, man of virtue, gameplay wise my favourite person to play as was Zhen Ji. Her musou attack in DW 3 was so awesome. Who doesn't like running around in a sexy dress beating people to death with a flute? I started with DW 2 as well and was completely addicted, same with DW 3 (which is still my favourite, by far). I too played Samurai Warriors 1 and 2 and also loved them, as well as the RotTK series (7 is my favourite but 11 is the only one I own). However, by the time DW 4 came around, my love for the series started dwindling. I haven't played a DW title since DW 5: Empires and that was just renting it on a whim. However, I still love the series, not so much for the games themselves, but for how they changed my life. In grade 9 I remember doing a project for computer class where we'd design our own website using basic HTML. Of course, I took the opportunity to do a massive website about some of the history of the Three Kingdoms Era, that's when I realized how much there was and how absolutely fascinating I found it. I spent way more time researching then I did making the actual website. I'm still completely infatuated with it, 4 or 5 years later. In fact I just bought and watched "Red Cliff" on blu-ray last week. It's John Woo's adaptation of the battle of Chi Bi, pretty epic. I plan on buying it again actually, but the full length version (5 hours) as opposed to the edited American version that I got (2 and a half hours). I'm also crazy excited for my mail to come in.
