Gearbox Software and Take-Two Interactive have announced that after having been in development for almost fourteen years, Duke Nukem Forever will finally make his way onto store shelves by the third of May in North America, and by the sixth of May internationally. Original developer 3D Realms closed down last year, with Gearbox Software picking up the game and apparently finishing development in less than a year.
Early access to the public demo for the game was included with the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, but the demo has yet to be dated at this time. A new trailer showing in-game footage was released at well, and can be found here. Please note that this trailer is only suited for mature audiences.
Finally we can play this game. The Duke really hasn’t changed at all in almost 14 years. Hail to the King baby!

I didn’t have the pleasure of playing any of the earlier games, and the XBLA re-release didn’t quite cut it for me, but I’m pretty exited about this game.
