In a post on the Playstation Blog, Insomniac Games has announced that The Ratchet & Clank Collection will be releasing in North America this fall, and that it will feature HD remasters of the original Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. More details are included after the jump.

Ted Price, the CEO of Insomniac Games, made the announcement earlier this week, and stated that the remasters will be handled by Idol Minds, the studio behind the downloadable PSN-exclusive Pain. In addition to graphics that have been upgraded to 1080p, the collection will feature 720p stereoscopic 3D support and includes all of the multiplayer features originally included with Up Your Arsenal.

The Ratchet & Clank Collection will be released in Europe next May, but Price stated that the reason North Americans will have to wait until later this year for the release is that they have something special planned with regards to the series’ ten-year anniversary.

More details regarding the collection and the special surprise for North American fans will be revealed over the course of the coming months.

    1. I’ll second that, I love Ratchet & Clank especially the first 3, something about them that just feels so cool when you play them, can’t really describe it with words.
