IGN reports that Ubisoft is currently working on a new title known as The Avengers: Battle for Earth, which will be based on the “Secret Invasion” comic book series from Marvel. The game will only be released for the Nintendo WiiU and Xbox 360 Kinect. More details are available after the jump.
The game is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, which will also be responsible for the Nintendo WiiU adaptation of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3. The game will not be related to the recently released “The Avengers” film, but will feature some form of competitive gameplay.
Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, and Thor have been confirmed as playable characters, though no information as to the actual gameplay is currently available. Ubisoft has not announced a tentative release date for The Avengers: Battle for Earth.
