Former Vigil Games creative director Joe Madureira has suggested in a post on his Facebook page, that the Darksiders franchise may not be dead, and he believes Nordic Games is committed to keep the series going.
“[Darksiders] is not dead!!! The new owner, Nordic seems very committed to continuing the series,” Madureira wrote, in part. “As far as my involvement, I can’t say at this point. Hopefully we will all have exciting news about the franchise soon!!!!!!”
Nordic Games acquired the Darksiders intellectual property during THQ’s bankruptcy auction in April 2013. The company also acquired Destroy All Humans, Frontlines, Full Spectrum Warrior, Juiced, MX vs. ATV, Stuntman, Supreme Commander as well as other franchises.
