Chain stores have been right before. A month after Kmart leaked the Playstation Slim, and a bit more than a week after the similar reveal of the Wii price drop, advertising is whispering likely rumors again. Advertising this time around indicates that Obsidian Entertainment’s vehemently anticipated espionage-RPG Alpha Protocol won’t make it to store shelves this year. Both Gamestop and Amazon.ca have online listings detailing the game’s launch in June of 2010, the former giving a June 1st launch, the latter posting a June 30th release. Considering the project has already received multiple delays, another one may be possible. Most online store sites still list Protocol as being released on October 27th of this year.
