Funcom announced yesterday that the subscription fees for their MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures have been reduced when purchased for multiple months simultaneously. Long-term subscriptions now receive an additional discount of 20% for a 3-month subscription, 30% for six months and 45% for a full year. Additionally, Funcom offers a free seven day trial to attract more players. While plagued by lukewarm reviews and a large amount of bugs at release, Funcom claims the game has been overhauled almost entirely since it was released in May 2008.

  1. To be honest I think most big site reviews gave it around 8, so I wouldn’t say lukewarm is the right word. But then again most big name sites never got to experience the lack of end level play.

This is great news however and from what I can tell they certianly have done a lot to fix all the problems they had around launch. Perhaps this is a good time for me to reactivate my subscription.
