With so many AAA titles being delayed into the next calendar year, it seems probable that all of the games pushed back to avoid a crowded holiday season are in fact creating an equally crowded first quarter of 2010. Developer Capcom seems to agree with the sentiment, as three of its high-profile releases; Lost Planet 2, Monster Hunter Tri, and Super Street Fighter IV; are seeing delays further into next year, beyond the fiscal year end-date of March 31, 2010. The already delayed Dark Void will keep its current release date.

Capcom’s official word on the push-back is to “avoid competing with the major titles that other companies plan to introduce in the 4th quarter.”

  1. Damn it Capcom, I want my damn Monster Hunter Tri already, I could care less about everything else, I just want some good Monster Hunter without having to buy another console, or trying to find the PS2 games.
