Acting as the second step in Bethsoft’s parent company Zenimax’s acquisition of id Software, the company has announced that it will publish id’s upcoming shooter Rage. This move will cut out former publisher, Electronic Arts, from any sales and marketing position with the title.
“Rage will be published by Bethesda Softworks, another ZeniMax subsidiary,” read an official statement released by ZeniMax. “As a result, Electronic Arts will not be involved in the sales and marketing of Rage. The ongoing development of Rage is unaffected by this development.”
