Playstation 3 and 360 owners will soon be able to relive the 90s with NBA Jam in all its online, HD glory. EA is releasing the title, for $50, on November 17th. Originally intended as a free extra with NBA Elite 11, the series’ recent faltering lead the publishing to package the game on its own. The classic 2-on-2 gameplay will be expanded upon with a free update in December, granting access to Backboard Smash, Free-for-All, and other new modes.
A *bit* pricey, but I’ll be getting it anyway.
Well the Wii version is the same price, but doesn’t have the online component. So the definitive version is definitely the PS3/360 version.
For the longest time I though the game was going to be a downloadable title, in the way that it looked and the scope of the game. Well I guess I am wrong. I might eventually pick this up for cheaper, but at least it is coming out.
I’m glad the devs changed their mind about having to buy Elite 11. Jam and that are completely different types of games.
