Fans of the Viseral Games’ Dead Space 2 rejoice. The new DLC “Severed” has been dated for March 1st on Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network for 560 MS points (7 dollars) for North American players. European players can expect it on March 2nd for the Playstation Network, with nothing said about a PC release or Xbox Live release.

“Severed” features two characters from the on-rails shooter Dead Space: Extraction, Gabe Weller and Lexine, Weller coming with a special security suit and an upgraded Pulse Rifle. The “twitcher” enemy from the original Dead Space will also make a comeback.

  1. They’re not messing around coming out with DLC this soon. Game’s been out for a couple of weeks and they’re already announcing DLC. Not the first time i’ve seen it but seems like these developers are trying to get as much as they can out of these games nice and early before gamers move on

  2. Not a bad price for this DLC. Looks like I will be getting it. I don’t care much for the multiplayer, so more single player Dead Space is all right with me.

  3. This is the first legit piece of DLC I’ve seen in a long time. Why has no one followed the steps of GTA4, Fallout 3, or even Burnout Paradise?
