There are few people as famous with gamers than producer/writer/director/actress/everything else Felicia Day. Perhaps best known for her own web series “The Guild”, Day has written and starred in another series based on the lore of Bioware’s Dragon Age. The six episode series – Dragon Age: Redemption – is set to launch this summer, and stars Day as elvish assassin Tallis in the world of Ferelden. Peter Winther (Associate Producer on “Independence Day”) and John Bartley (TV’s “Lost”) will acted as cinematographer, the 12-day shot having already wrapped in Los Angeles.

“Tallis is headstrong, she fights dirty, and she has a really sarcastic sense of humor,” Day describes, “I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world…She can’t accomplish her mission alone, so finding allies is tricky…The success or failure of the mission will have a big impact on her future and her freedom.”

“I am an organic gamer and I love games, and I particularly love this franchise,” Day continues, “I put every single effort into making this something that gamers will be proud of. Even though we were constrained a lot as a Web series, none of the people who were involved took that as a constraint. They took that as a challenge.”

“We are really, really excited to work with people like her who have a passion and appreciation for the content and a really good history of quality,” says BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk, “That’s who we want to work with.”
