The “Playstation Certified” brand continues to expand, as reports are coming in that a tablet device bearing the guarantee is set to launch this Summer. First discovered by Nikkei (via Bloomberg), the tablet will run Android’s 3.0 Honeycomb tech (same as Motorola’s Xoom). According to AV Watch (via Endgadget), Sony later rephrased its statement, saying that the device will be released by “the end of the year”. The company has yet to clarify whether the new time-frame was for a later Japanese launch, or to provide a more official counter-point to the earlier Nikkei statement.
