Following the completion of the social game we reported about earlier this week, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be known as Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Few details are available at this time, but the game is expected to be presented more in-depth at the upcoming E3, and in the June edition of Game Informer. More information regarding the game is included after the jump.

Similar to both Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, the game will focus on Desmond Miles and his ancestor Ezio. According to Ubisoft, the upcoming installment will see the story arch of Ezio brought to an end, as he travels in the footsteps of the protagonist of the original Assassin’s Creed, Altaïr. Amongst others, this journey will take Ezio to Constantiple.

The game will also feature a more extensive multiplayer experience. More information will be provided at E3, though the game has already been confirmed for a release on PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 in November 2011.

  1. No more Ezio! I didn’t even like him that much in AC2 (I actually liked him more in Brotherhood in the flashback scenes)… why not make a more compelling character

    1. I’m with you there. I saw the cover for Game Informer, and he is an old man in Revelations.

Seriously Ubisoft, give us ACIII with a new character in a new region in a new time frame.

    2. I like Ezio but he’s such a simple, failed-to-be-developed character that it’s annoying. And same era? Such a waste of a series with infinite potential.

This is lame, day 130 (PC release) unconfirmed for me.
