Simon Carter, co-creator of Fable and co-founder its original development studio Big Blue Box, has left his position as Lead Technical Director at Lionhead Studios. Carter is now apparently pursuing “lots of new opportunities” in digital download games, although no concrete plans have been announced.
Speaking to GameIndustry.biz (Registration required for article) Carter mused that, “The games industry is an exciting place at the moment, and there are lots of new opportunities to pursue…Everything is changing: consumer play habits, the relationship between the player and the developer, new funding and payment models; in a few years things are likely to look very different from the industry we know now.”
