Atlus’ Persona series has seen comparatively tremendous success as a trans-media property after the release of 2007’s Persona 3, which has seen adaptations into manga and radio dramas. Its direct sequel has been made into an anime, and now a fully staged production. Called “Visualive”, the type of production combines theatrical stage performance with sophisticated special effects. Titled “Visualive Persona 4”, the performances will be put on by Marvelous AQL and run from March 15th to March 30th.

The voiceless main protagonist will be played by Toru Baba, a veteran of the “Prince of Tennis” musicals, and will have a different name for every show. Attendees are allowed to submit their ideas for different names for the character. The show’s run will be held at the Sunshine Theater in Ikebukuro.

  1. My mind has blown… First an Anime, then a fighting game, and now a play. This is sort of rediculous. It’s a fun story (very scoobie doo esque), but maaaan, it isn’t this good.
