In two posts on its website, Zynga has announced the closure of OMGPOP.com and four games.
Cupcake Corner, Gem Rush, Pool World Champ and Snoops are the four games that will be closed by August 29th. OMGPOP.com will be closed on September 30th but Draw Something, Draw Something 2 and Draw My Thing will be unaffected and remain playable.
“We regret that this decision will affect some of our players, but we invite you to visit Zynga.com and try some of our other games,” the social game maker said.
Zynga acquired OMGPOP in March 2012 for $200 million. Zynga closed OMGPOP in June 2013, a few days after announcing its plans to layoff 520 employees.
