The auction to sell the 38 Studios and Big Huge Games assets will now take place on December 11th, and it will also include a recently discovered game.
Heritage Global Partners vice president Nick Jiminez revealed in a press release that the firm has discovered “a completed, but unreleased game for Mac users titled ‘Rise of Nations: Tactics‘,” while examining data on the 38 Studios servers.
Bidders interested in the intellectual property rights up for sale in the auction have until December 4th to submit their initial bids. The auction includes assets such as the MMO Project Copernicus, sequel and merchandising rights to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Big Huge Games’ properties including Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, XBLA title Catan, the Big Huge Games Engine and also a social media development platform codenamed “Helios”.
Earlier this month, Richard J. Land sought court approval to postpone the auction due to a “greater than expected” interest from potential bidders.
