Dreadnought 14 Jun

Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager has unveiled a new free-to-play “aerial armada action game” called Dreadnought. The game is being developed in collaboration with publisher Grey Box.

“Dreadnought harkens back to the PC space combat game we developed when we first started out,” Yager art director Mathias Wiese said in a statement, in part. “In the years since, we’ve been developing and testing some incredible ideas that now perfectly come together in Dreadnought.”

In Dreadnought, players will take control of massive futuristic battleships instead of piloting fighter craft as they plot out their conquest of multiplayer battlefields. Dreadnought is being powered by the Unreal Engine 4 and Yager plans to open up the game for public testing in early 2015.

Yager is also handling development on Dead Island 2, which was announced earlier this week.
