Ubisoft has announced today that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed from October 28th to November 11th to allow the development team to polish the game more.

“This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning,” said Unity senior producer Vincent Pontbriand. “It’s always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we’re near the target but we’re not quite there yet.”

The extra two weeks will give the development team extra time to polish the title and Ubisoft also said that a day one patch is in the works which will add other improvements.

Assassin’s Creed Unity will now release on the same day as the last generation counterpart Assassin’s Creed Rogue.

Assassin’s Creed Unity will release for Xbox One, PC and PS4, and Assassin’s Creed Rogue is currently set for Xbox 360 and PS3.
