A sequel for 2004’s Rome: Total War has been confirmed by Sega and Creative Assembly, expected sometime in 2013. The Total War series most recently re-occupied feudal Japan with 2010’s Total War: Shogun 2 and its 2012 expansion “Fall of the Samurai” (not to mention the iOS Total War Battles: Shogun spin-off this past April).
