Developer Frontier recently announced the follow-up title to last year’s WiiWare title LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias. Players will once again take waggle control over Enril the Wind Spirit, and guide young adventurer Toku in his attempts to save his mother, thwart the evil Balasar and lift an ancient curse. However, this time around players will be able to shift the land of Mistralis’ seasons between Winter and Summer, turning ice blockades into harmless ponds or vice versa. Price and release date are yet to be confirmed, but the success and unique controls of its prequel will likely carry over to make Winter of Melodias one of WiiWare’s more lucrative titles.
“LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias will delight both new and returning players.” said David Braben, Chairman and Founder of Frontier “Every aspect has been extended and polished, and the major new gameplay elements dovetail perfectly to give a fantastically rich, fun, innovative experience.”
