While dodging questions on their multi-platform partnership with EA, developer Insomniac took some time to announce and give some details on the latest iterations of their current, PS3-exclusive, franchises. While its been hinted at for over half a year, Resistance 3 was officially announced and is headed to New York City. No further information on the game was given.
On the Ratchet and Clank side of the Insomniac coin, the team revealed a new co-operative focus entry in the long-running franchise, Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One. Still taking place within the Future world introduced with Tools of Destruction, the game features up to four players in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play, as well as the expected array of new and exciting weaponry. The game has a tenatitive release date of Fall 2011.
Cool, I am more interested in the Ratchet game. Now I wonder what they are going to reveal at PAX in a couple of weeks after making these announcements. By process of elimination it can only be that new IP that they are working on with EA that is multiplatform.
