Quite a good list, I just hate how some games have changed in certain ways that shouldn’t have changed, like David Bateson not doing the voice of 47 in Hitman Absolution, Michael Ironside not doing Sam Fisher’s voice and Criterion messing up Need for Speed Most Wanted by just making another burnout game and slappin’ a Most Wanted sticker on the side.
No need for good things to change, I’ve grown up with those games and it makes a big difference to me, I noticed Most Wanted wasn’t on your list…
Alot of good things though, Last of Us looks amazing, Watchdogs looks really good and Beyond even though it looks a bit linear and too cinematic for me.
Woah Woah Woah… how is Criterion messing up Most Wanted? They did a fantastic job with Hot Pursuit, and while this isn’t Burnout (and I say that with a little sadness in my voice), it seems they will take their driving physics from Hot Pursuit and implant it into a world more similar with Burnout Paradise. If it was just Burnout with a Most Wanted sticker slapped on it, I would probably be even more excited 😉
Most Wanted was actually third place on my personal list, alas that didn’t garner enough points for it to make the final list (it was close though). And while I really liked the original Most Wanted, Burnout Paradise was several orders of magnitude better. I’d even go so far as to say it’s my favorite racing game of this generation, so needless to say I’m pretty excited for Most Wanted 😀
