Five months after it’s official release, the Free-To-Play title Microsoft Flight has officially had it’s development stopped, with most of the Vancouver team being laid off. The first title in the long running Flight Simulator series to adopt a Free-To-Play model, players could buy multiple new aircrafts, regions, or options from the in-game item store. From an official statement to Kotaku, Microsoft says that cancelled the development to, “better align with our long-term goals and development plans.” Community support will reportedly continue, and the game is still available to download from the Microsoft website. However, all the free-to-play simulator’s future development has been shut down.
