The International Game Developers Association has announced via a press release that its Executive Director, Gordon Bellamy, will be stepping down from his role to take up a position as Director of Business Development and Industry Relations at the Chinese investment firm Tencent. Until a suitable replacement is found, Dustin Clingman (the current IGDA Chairman of the Board) will serve as Bellamy’s replacement.
Bellamy fulfilled his role as Executive Director for three years and will continue to serve the IGDA as a member of its board of directors. Under his watch, the IGDA membership growth increased significantly. No candidates for taking over his mantle in the long term have been identified yet.
