Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut has been confirmed to be coming to the Wii U, according to a publication from Eurogamer. The title was first listed on Amazon with a release date of May 7th, and boasted features including the “Neural Hub” to “Tap into the Wii U’s GamePad true potential.”
Australian developer Straight Right, who brought Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U, is working with Eidos Montreal on the game. According to the original developer, The “Director’s Cut” is the “ultimate edition of the game.” The outsourced boss fights, often considered the weakest part of the game by critics and players alike, have now been reportedly rebuilt from the ground up (no specifics upgrades or changes have been revealed). “We went through all the boss battles and said, ‘let’s just start from the beginning,” game designer Emile Pedneault explained, “So that’s exactly what we did.”
The Wii U version will include all the DLC fit directly into the main story. There will also be approximately 8 hours of director’s commentary from Eidos Montreal, improved graphics and lighting, and unique features for the Wii U’s gamepad. When asked if the director’s cut would go to other consoles, executive game director Jean-Francois Dugas said he could not comment on the matter at the present time.
