Games Industry has reported that Sony will be selling its shares in the Japanese mobile gaming company DeNA for approximately $440 million. According to a statement issued by Sony, 17.72 million shares of DeNA stock will be sold to Nomura Securities. While Sony is expected to release the exact amount tomorrow, the sale will add around $438 million to its fiscal year quarter 4 earnings.
This is the third sale included in Sony’s effort to “strengthen its corporate structure,” with recent sales including office buildings in both New York City and Tokyo.
