As part of the PlayStation 4 pre-release FAQ, Sony has revealed that the console will not support content sharing via YouTube at launch.
The PlayStation 4 will allow users to upload gameplay videos on their Facebook account, and stream live via Ustream or Twitch at launch. Although Sony also said PS4 owners should keep an eye out for “further news on other services to come after launch.” Content streamed on Ustream will not be archived for later playback, however Twitch users will be able to enable this option on Twitch’s website.
The FAQ also states that the PS4 does not support external hard drive use for expanded storage. Users can however replace the console’s stock 500GB hard drive so long as it is “no thicker than 9.5mm, and is larger than 160GB.”
