According to Engadget, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be coming to Xbox One this year.
The package will reportedly include remastered versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4, leaving out the spinoffs including Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST. It is unknown who is developing the HD remakes, however Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity collaborated on 2011’s Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition.
Earlier this morning, 343 Industries announced Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One, and revealed it is set to release in fall of 2015, the same launch window for the Stephen Speilberg-produced live action Halo series. 343 Industries GM Bonnie Ross said that while the latest title won’t release until 2015, the franchise’s journey on Xbox One “definitely begins in 2014 with a giant leap, rather than one small step.”
