During the Nintendo Direct today, Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada revealed that a free 4-player co-op game currently titled Project Treasure is in development.
“We’ve started a new project that is exclusive to the Wii U,” Harada said, in part. “It’s an action game where four players work together to complete varied stages. The basic aim is to clear traps, route enemies and seize treasures.”
“The game itself is free to download from Nintendo eShop and start playing. Any Nintendo Network user can play, as long as their Wii U is connected to the internet. I can’t announce the game’s name or launch date yet, but its tentative name is ‘Project Treasure,’ and we’re working very hard on it. I hope you’ll look forward to it.”
