I would have given this award to Rabbids Go Home… the game was suprisingly good… like Katamary Demacy that kinda makes sense.
Rabbids isn’t a platformer, it is in a genre that is only accompanied by Katamari.
It most certainly is a platformer. The definition of platformer is pretty nebulous, but even wiki agrees with us: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbids_go_home
While the game has you collecting things much in the vein of Katamari, the gameplay is all about precise jumps and menuevers, which is what platforming is.
When I first put it into my Wii, I was expecting it to be pure crap. I was REALLY pleasantly surprised. I think it’s one of the best games of the year. I’d put it into my personal top 10 of the year for sure.
