Gametrailers has uncovered a new listing Amazon.com for a collection of titles from the Hitman franchise, known as the Hitman HD Trilogy. The listing concerns a premium edition with some extra content, though it is unclear whether a regular version without the extras will also be available. More details are included after the jump.
According to the Amazon listing, the Hitman HD Trilogy contains HD-remasters of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood. Each of these titles have been developed by IO Interactive, and were released in 2002, 2004, and 2006 respectively. It is not the first time that these titles would be bundled together, as they were released under the name of Hitman Trilogy in 2007 for PC and Playstation 2 (though this release did not feature HD remasters of each title).
The Premium Edition that is listed on Amazon appears to be exclusive to the Playstation 3 and includes all three titles and an art book featuring 22 pieces of artwork that are reinterpretations of iconic moments from the Hitman franchise. Amazon currently offers the Premium Edition for $39.99, and lists a release date of January 29th, 2013.
Developer IO Interactive or publisher Square Enix have not yet commented on the news.
