Tetsuya Nomura, character designer and game director at Square Enix, has stated in an interview with Game Informer that a new installment in the Kingdom Hearts series will be unveiled at the upcoming E3. At this time, it is known that three titles in the series are in development, with Kingdom Hearts III not expected to be released before 2012.

Nomura confirmed that the revelation would not be Kingdom Hearts III, but rather one of the other two titles he is working on. He further added that this particular title is intended to be “something for the American fans.” With Nomura having stated in the past that he intends to release a single Kingdom Hearts title in each financial year, this unannounced title is expected to be released prior to April 2011. It is unclear whether this new title will be released for the Playstation 3 or the Playstation Portable.

    1. Possibly, but it could be Kingdom Hearts III (I am going to assume it is for the PS3, cause of the past games). Gavin, please find out for us.
