The award-winning 2005 title, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, will be revived in the Spring of 2011 in the form of an enhanced remake for the PlayStation 3. Expect everything that’s standard fare with HD remakes, including 720p visuals, normal mapping, dynamic shadows, refined audio, PlayStation Move support, and bonus material. Just Add Water is the company in charge of the remake, and the managing director, Stewart Gilray, said–

“Since word got out that we’ve been working with Oddworld Inhabitants there have been many rumours circulating about what we’re working on. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.”

Expect more info as the release date approaches.

  1. This is cool… but there is bigger news right now!

DUKE NUKEM FOREVER IS PLAYABLE AT PAX!!! Gearbox took over the project and hired a bunch of guys from 3D Realms. The gameplay doesn’t look half bad.

    1. OH yes it is, and I am going to check it out tomorrow, and hopefully play the PC version (since that is where I feel The Duke is best at home).
