Bethesda Softworks has released the first trailer for the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise. The trailer shows some of the new features to be include, such as dual-wielded weapons, and greatly improved character animations.  Most of the footage contained within the trailer is rendered in-engine, though it also reuses a few shots from the original teaser-trailer with which the game was announced last December. The trailer can be found after the jump.

Yesterday, Bethesda Softworks promised to a currently unspecified amount of goodies, as well as a supply of all future games to be released by Bethesda, to each parent who names their newborn child ‘Dovahkiin’, which means Dragonborn. A condition for this is that the child must be born on the release date of the game, which is currently set at November 11th, 2011.

  1. This is cool and all, but did you guys see that trailer for Battlefield 3? It gave me goosebumps, and I’m not even a FPS fan.
