According to a report by Variety, Rocksteady is working on a prequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City that will feature the ‘The Dark Knight’ alonside other members of the Justice League. The game will also revolve around Batman’s first encounter with the Joker, and is to be based on DC Comics from the 50’s.
Warners Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Arkham-developer Rocksteady have declined to comment on these rumors, and the studio has never officially confirmed it is working on another installment in the Batman series.
