In the latest edition of Famitsu, a social-focused spin-off of the popular handheld brain puzzler series Professor Layton, named Professor Layton and the Century of the Seven Phantom Thieves, will be heading to iOS and Android devices in the near future. Featuring the titular Professor and his ward Luke, players will use social features to gain help from other players to aid them finding criminals. Unlockable avatars and costumes will be available, along with in-game purchases, the app itself being free. No release date has been announced so far, nor any word on a localization in the west.
