Worms franchise creator Team17 has announced today that it is returning to third-party publishing after nearly 20 years.
The first title Team17 will publish as part of this new initiative is the 2D stealth title Light from indie developer Just A Pixel. Light is currently making its way through the Steam Greenlight process.
“Ultimately, the timing is right; Team17 is in a very fortunate position with a wealth of personal experience to share,” The company said in a statement, in part. “Team17 has an incredible community running into many millions that we can cross-promote within and raise awareness for new IPs and specifically indie games, which are very close to our hearts and something we stand up for.”
