ZeniMax Online Studios Game Director Matt Firor has confirmed in a PlayStation Blog update that The Elder Scrolls Online will not require a PlayStation Plus membership for users to play on PS4.

“A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play The Elder Scrolls Online,” Firor wrote, in part. “PS4 players will only be required to pay the same monthly subscription associated with The Elder Scrolls Online that PC and Mac users will pay—nothing more.”

Bethesda has since confirmed to Joystiq that the Xbox One version of The Elder Scrolls Online will require an Xbox Live Gold membership, in addition to the game’s $14.99 monthly subscription fee. The Elder Scrolls Online is set to launch April 4th for PC and Mac, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions following in June.
