Pro Evolution Soccer brand manager at Konami, Jon Murphy has announced via his Twitter that he is departing the company after 16 years.

“After 16 years at Konami I’ve decided to seek new challenges. Thanks all and please continue to support @Adam_Bhatti,” Murphy wrote. He also thanked fans for the support he received in responses to the announcement. “Amazing messages from all. Genuinely surprised/touched. Thank you. Really interested in demo feedback, but for now off to walk dog”.

The news of Murphy’s departure follows Dave Cox, producer of the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series, who left Konami last month after 17 years with the company.
