Bungie has released a free demo for Destiny on all platforms the game is available for, allowing interested gamers to try the game and transfer their progress to the full version if they buy it.
The Destiny Demo on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 requires 6 GB of hard drive space, and the Destiny Trial on Xbox One and PS4 requires 20 GB.
Progress from the free versions can be transferred to a full version of the game within the same console family. For example, progress from the PlayStation 3 demo can be transferred to PlayStation 4 however you cannot transfer from PlayStation 3 to Xbox One.
