Blizzard has announced that the recent charity pet for World of Warcraft, Argi, helped raise over $1.9 million for Ebola relief in Africa.
During the month of December, Blizzard donated 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to support the Ebola relief efforts in Africa. “Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of World of Warcraft players around the world who purchased the Argi pet, we’ve raised a total of more than 1.9 million USD to support the ongoing Ebola relief efforts in Africa by the Red Cross.”
Argi is still available for purchase for $10. It serves as a World of Warcraft pet and can be used in the game’s pet battles.
