Playstation owners have even more reason to anticipate the forth-coming frentic fighter BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, as it was recently announced that the PS3 version of the game will ship with Remote Play functionality, meaning those owning a PSP in addition to Sony’s home console can log onto the internet from anywhere in their region, log onto their Playstation Network account, and access the game and all its features from the handheld device, making it playable on the go as well as at home. Early reports in from Japan are pleasantly surprising, with little reports containing complaints of difficult use or lag in online matches. Arriving next week for both the PS3 and Xbox 360, the spiritual successor to the Guilty Gear fighting franchise contains many updates to both gameplay and visuals from the IP’s extensive time in Japanese and American arcades, and carries itself in the same fast paced action/fluid HD visuals-vein as its predecessor.
